Once I knew the breast cancer was official I decided to name it. I named the tumor in my left breast Bessie. The tumors in my left auxiliary I named Carl. This is a painting done out of a desire to make cancer negative. So literally, all the cows are negative space. Unfortunately I didn't hide any Carls in this painting.
